Since 2025,I have had the pleasure of working on multiple projects for the internationaland multifaceted photography museum FOAM, based in Amsterdam. FOAM connectsdifferent views, visions, and perspectives, inviting everyone to explore.
Together with Studio Polat, I curated and developed a program focused on theintersection of photography, AI, and the archive. This symposium explored thepower, vulnerability, and future of the photographic archive—particularlyonline archives—through the lens of collections related to the Second World Warand heritage institutions. Hosted by Ahmet Polat, guest speakers CharlesJeurgens, Laurens Vreekamp, Sennay Ghebreab, Monique Steijns, Vera van derBurg, Thamar Luthart (Medusa Medusa), René Kok, and spoken word artist RashifEl Kaoui shared their insights.
In addition, I collaborated with World Press Photo on the Joop SwartMasterclass, one of their leading educational programs for emergingphotographers in the fields of documentary photography, photojournalism, andvisual storytelling. Together with curator Aya Musa, we created a masterclassfor 13 selected international photographers. The result was an inspiring,in-depth program that addressed topics such as visual storytelling inpolitically sensitive times and the museum as a space for reflection and dialogueabout art and society.
In 2026, I am working on a project for FOAM Talent, with more to be announced.
